Mary Ellen
Mary Ellen is finished with Edge of Eternity (The Century Trilogy, #3)
A history lesson with appealing characters. I would have retained so many more historical facts in school if history was taught the Ken Follett way. I love his use of characters from both sides of the ocean to develop the story line. This gives the facts multiple dimensions.

This is a 'can't and won't put the book down' type of book. Can't believe I've not read Greg Isles before this!

Mary Ellen is on page 90 of 213 of Julius Katz and Archie (Julius Katz Detective)
This is a fun book. It is not my usual genre:detective mystery. It is written in the first person by the 'detective's assistant' whose background is a surprise. I an listening via audio books; read by Nick Hahn, a friend and wonderful story teller.

a well known photo from the depression era...what a great idea for character development in a novel. The author develops the story by telling the story of the two main characters; Mary Coin and the photographer.

Great character development. The childhood trauma incidents are uncomfortable to read...
