My goodness. Can he write adults? Every main character is so childish in their own ways and it’s frustrating…ah well, it’s a good world. This series is like a ratty out of fashion coat that’s just too comfy not to still wear when not out in public.

Well, only the first third is terribly frustrating as opposed to the first two thirds, so that’s nice. Still not my favorite book so far, but not terrible, I guess. It does well with adventure and the world. There are still too many conveniences and though the characters are better they are still not a strong point. We’ll see how the book continues.

This is the most frustrating reading experience I’ve had since the last book in this series. It’s just hard for me to believe that 19 year olds could be THAT FOOLISH. What. The. Deuce. If these characters continue in this vein of plot-convenient bull-headed idiocy and conflict for conflict’s sake this will not be a series I finish.

So far this is excellent. A veritable breath of fresh air in a genre plagued with merely ok writing.

These are the most inexplicably foolish 19 year olds. I have never met people, small town or no, that are this bull headed and daft. I thought they were pre/teen to early teen before looking up their supposed ages…I’m looking forward to the promised character development in the coming books.
