I don’t really know what’s going on, but it seems like our three heroes are about to be reunited for the first time since like page 10 (eyeroll) so now let the fun begin

I have wanted to read a book by this author for a long time, but most of them are very very long. This is a book of essays and short stories, which seems like a good jumping off point. The first one was excellent. Very enjoyable but also a bit too smart for me. I’ll have to keep the dictionary handy. A lot in the first story about advanced math, which I guess unfortunately I am out of practice.

This is the best one I’ve read in a while. Of course they are all good but the story of this one is compelling and poignant and still relevant today. And also very funny.

Chekov’s gum

Had to sit at the car dealer and found the Gregor shelf. It’s fine. Have to put myself into a ten year old mindset. I agree w eleanor i have a hard time picturing everything

So far it feels like Hunger Games with different characters, I’m not impressed.

Wife recommended, not going to finish in 2024. Started out interesting (early 90s chicago) but get less so. Secondary characters are assholes and the main characters are hard to empathize with so I’m starting to not care what happens to them while expecting it not to end well for them. Also makes it easy to be angry about stuff, like an old man. So we’ll see how it goes.

I have the hard copy in hand now!

Flop the library took back my digital audio copy because someone else is waiting so now i have it on hold again but at least i can catch up with listening

A fun listen in his voice. I am also listening to each album along the way.

My favorite kind of poetry, it would be easy to rush through but i am trying to savor it. Beautiful observations in readable but still poignant and eloquent words.

I love how sweet and clever and creative and silly this is so far. And so far innocent. An interesting world to picture, makes me think of Princess Bride (high praise!).
