If anyone asks why women don’t read this type of books so much I have the answer. The view of women is so objectifying and sexist it’s kinda tiring. Other than that, this is fine so far.

Second reread now in process. This is absolutely my favourite space opera!

I just realized I’ve missed reading the previous one. This doesn’t hold the same characters but it feels wrong. So this is currently on hold.

Just a little side note: I find it so frustrating that he has written a book about climate change which means he constantly mentions degrees and then uses Fahrenheit, that basically only Americans use and know. Which means I have to check what number it is on google every single time…

Yesterday I talked to two friends (complained really) about how difficult I found this to get through even if I like the Dune story a lot. And here I am, suddenly feeling it again. Wish me luck!

I’ve had this biography on my shelf for years but I never get around to it, because
A) my copy is a translation into Swedish, and
B) it’s long.
But then I found the audiobook read by Alfred Molina! Now I just use the physical copy for picture references.

You know when you think ”one day I want to read that classic book..”, but you never do? Well, I’m going to Verona in April so when would be a better time to read Romeo and Juliet that I bought two years ago? It’s going to be a loooong read, wish me luck!

Reread is happening before finishing the series. It didn’t take me long before I remembered why this is a 5-star read. Wow this man can write!

Suddenly we ended up on a chapter that follows two conspiracy theorists discussing US politics and I got so booooored. I read books to escape reality, where did the wandering people go?... *taking a listening break*

I’ve been curious about this book for a long time but it’s so damn long so I’ve been hesitating. Let’s see if 32h of audiobook will do instead!

Alright, less of romance novel and more mystery now. What is this Ministry? Very intriguing. She’s even dipped her toe in some social science fiction which was great! I see why so many like it, it has a bit of everything.

Well, this reads like the start of a good romance novel. Have you seen the movie Kate & Leopold with Hugh Jackman and Meg Ryan? This books reads exactly like that! His beautiful dimples have been mentioned at least 3 times, and I’m on page 26! Hoping for a bit more of the sci-fi elements it’s supposed to have further on.

You know, when you feel like reading, but don't have the energy to read and process something new? Then you reread a favourite for the second time.

They changed narrator for this one and thank god, this one is much better.
