Finally seeing a major thing that wasn’t in the movie!! The movie does a great job in sharing the books largest theme of mistaken identity and truly knowing someone’s heart. However, there are more complexities that I now see the movie would have a harder time breaking down because it does take some repeat explanations. But ahh it gives so much more depth—I’m squealing like a school girl!

There were so many beautiful mysteries in the movie that I am now pleased to understand after almost 15 years of wondering. I’m sort of saddened to already be nearly half-way through… but there’s at least still some mysteries I can wait for.

What a dream it is.

As a long time Studio Ghibli fan, I have always wanted to start this book. So far it is just as delightful, and I’m enjoying knowing even more details of the characters. It also just makes me so happy with the director for his inclusion of the small details like her lunch of bread and cheese on the mountain side. A perfect listen while I edit. 😊🤍

Finally getting back into this series!!
2nd attempt at reading this one, because Edward’s over protectiveness really picks up and I find ir lowkey annoying, BUUUT I can see how on it could be deemed romantic if you believe he’s genuinely wanting to keep her safe.
Also it’s interesting still to see the comparison of him and Jacob. Jacob has some big prejudices but rightfully so lol.

You know that feeling excitement when you watch a movie from your childhood as an adult? I’m feeling that same way about Daniel, especially at this point in the story: the lions den. Daniel!!!! I wanna be like you!!!

Buckle up buttercup because the love triangle is coming in hot!! I’m so excited to start the 3rd book and unlock all my teen angst buried under my mid twenties corporate hustle. Truly twilight is the sweat treat. I need this.

This is first time I’ve deep dived into the book of Daniel since I was in SUNDAY SCHOOL, and getting to revisit these stories has been so wonderful and nourishing for my soul. Very blessed by these thoughtful questions!

I have audible screamed twice in this latter half because holyyyyyyyy Jacob, followed by HECKINNNN EDWAARDDDDDD AGHHHHHHH

Poor buddy Jakey getting hit with the doggie puberty and Bella thinks she’s lost her only friend because she can’t love him like he loves her and assumed he’s ghosted and joined a gang. Gosh what a time 😭

Jacob doesn’t deserve this!!!!!! He’s so in love with her and she’s just depressed!!! 😭I’m screaming at this heartache.

Halfway through the book and I finally get to hear about Jacob and so far I’m not impressed. Why was he made to be so dreamy in the movies and in the books he feels like such a kid? 😭

I’ve waiting a long time to finally dive into this series and I’m enjoying it so much. After only seeing the movies each fall/winter, I’m thrilled by all the extra details this season through the book. Also can firmly say: Team Edward!!
