I've been reading along with the audiobook on my uni bus commutes - a comforting start to the day, I'll miss it when I'm done.

"We reached for each other, and I thought of how many nights I had lain awake in this room loving him in silence."

every line is as painful and perfect as I remember.

this has successfully pulled me out of my reading slump

yes I'm re-reading this when I have a full TBR for September that doesn't include this book... no you can't judge me.

I feel slightly sick reading this, but I love the writing style so much. This is the best first-person POV prose that I've read in such a long time.

this book is hilarious so far, and it still has sweet lines that make it so endearing. not to mention, Gus is very relatable. example:

"It was not fine. Granted, it started out fine, but then it escalated rather quickly until Gus was in the middle of a situation he could only describe as what the fuck."
