i'm assuming Goyln was inspired by the Rape of Nanjing but holy freak that was incredibly disturbing and well- written, v fast paced and well constructed

This felt really nicely paced after the other book I read but also holy shit there was a lot going on!! I think I've gotten unaccustomed to fantasty LOL. Cassia was lowk annoying asf at the start and I HATED how everyone changed appearance/ personality halfway through. Otherwise, pretty good!!

In a word; meticulous.

I haven't read a book that was so well researched and planned like this lowk EVER. I learned A LOT and I loved it and the political scheme was eerily similar to today's. I didn't enjoy the lack of emotion from Gabriel, or the way he was characterized but I'm probably not the right audience for it. Nonetheless, insanely well planned out, reminded me of a Christie novel!!

This book felt like an actual storm. Idk wtf happened, who's right or wrong, why the things that happened happened or anything!!

In hindsight, it was a pretty good book w gorgeous writing but so many events were stuffed into such little pages it just felt weighed down and confusing and not long enough where it should've been or details were overlooked when they shouldn't have been.

second 5 star read of the year off to a great start!! this was super funny, cute and a great mystery. Def a comfort read.

YES. LOVED. totally predicted the end but it was eerie and spooky and scary and he was so hot and it was all extremely dark academia

this one hit a little too close to home and then shifted genres at the end istg nicely written but eh

I LOOOOVE heist books and this scratched an itch even tho I didn't understand half of it 🥰🥰 don't judge the book by its cover

Romance had its moments but felt a unreciprocated sometimes, plot twists were good, a little heavy and slightly predictable. Writing and description was so good. Not my fave Ibañez book but still pretty good, I felt like she was being evil and then felt bad and got too nice and back and forth.

it was like watching a trainwreck in which EVERYONE dies. (interpret how you will) The world building was dizzyingly good tho!!!

I'm genuinely traumatized. I read most of this with my jaw dropped in horror. I usually say this as a joke but ACTUALLY should hve just offed herself. The amount of TRAUMA she went thru and caused in the last 100 PAGES??????????? AND SHES STILL GOING BC "REVENGE" ??? AND SHE LIED TO GILD??????

Was lowk cheering for the erlking bc gild is ginger but hes such a cutie that its forgiveable!!

bought for the cover and was pleasantly surprised. 10/10 for plot the greeks were truly genius, lacking everywhere else.

Whoever wrote this has had some wild nightmares. It didn't really make sense and seemed to go back and forth too much. I didn't like the ending and the inconclusivity of the road and Dahut and Ys. Otherwise very unsettling!! 👍🏼👍🏼
