idek why i posted that last update i put the book down for 5 minutes and returned to indulge... its 4 am now sigh

sooo maybe i'm easily entertained but ive been reading this so fast i feel greedy . i can't help it im really enjoying this book, its bringing a lot of food for my brain i want to yap someone's ear off about it

the swan scene almost ruined me....

this book definitely packs a punch. should you rip your flesh to become something you are not, just to feed those who are greedy for more than you can give? or should you continue molding yourself into the person you’ve dreamed of being, despite knowing what is real and stable? pursuing who you are can be so isolating

i like how this book does alot of showing instead of telling like half the time i'm like wait ohhh i see what ur occupation/ what kinda person u were. i'm struggling to get through this idk it gets a bit relative in my opinion but i think it just reads a bit too much like an academic book so my brains like ugh textbook

interesting , never thought it would take this approach . can def hear the diff voices from each person being interviewed

this story rlly touched on the topics of sexuality, love, and fetishization

opening this w the MC tom and his craving for intimacy and its attempt to be quenched by dating apps is so relatable . in my own experience it feels so electric to be wanted but when it's over , i too feel thick with shame.

his love story with will was an unexpected redemption and i honestly could've read a whole book about them !

the imagery so far is so delicious and layered and important i just woah. regretfully putting this down so i can appreciate this with fresh eyes tomorrow
