I'm enjoying this book so far. I play the ukulele and most ukulele enthusiasts wouldn't have millions of picks unless they also played the guitar. Ukulele players rarely use picks and if they do they are usually felt because they make to plucky of a sound.

Also, I started tearing up when she was describing the CFer and the AffloVest. I know that all too well with my first husband.

Making more progress now that I'm listening to the book instead of reading it, given I can listen on my commute.

I have to say that having someone so immediate to you pass really does lead to pretty intrusive thoughts. I mean, I am changed forever in the way I view statistics and generally become a homebody when the thoughts get to be a lot. I'm not at all to the degree of this character, but I totally get it. This story is so relatable for those dealing with grief. I'll probably finish listening to this on Libby today.

I'm not sure if I'll finish this one or not, because tbh this series is intense and I'm loving my romantic fluff reads or non-fiction/music-oriented books. It feels like I'm revisiting a different part of myself. The person who enjoyed the distopian stuff. Now all I want is a break from distopia. Not sure why... (gestures generally at everything) but I do think try, even if it takes some time.

I’m sitting here trying to think of one of Sir Paul McCartney’s songs. Which one is it about not being able to go back home? Thinking of when all my siblings and I started leaving the nest. We couldn’t stay kids forever. One day we’re grown and there isn’t that childhood home to go back to. Things have changed. Parents have moved to someplace new and unfamiliar. We can’t go back.

This book helps better understand the origins of ADHD/ADD.

So far answers include therapy and the parent parenting themselves. It also looks like anxious parents need to learn to get a hold on their anxiety for the sake of their children. There is plenty more to read and I'm taking notes.

So far this is such a great child development book. I'm reading it as supplemental learning for children's yoga. I also think it's important to keep up my learning from my bachelor degree and as a children's librarian.
