يا ابن الخبيثة، إنك وإن كنت فوق أبناء هذا الزمان، فإن الكفاية قد مسختك، ومعرفتك بكثرة ما أخلف قد أفسدتك؛ وزاد في ذلك أن كنت بكري، وعجزة أمّك .

الأشجار العالية تعصف بها الريح كثيرا

‏ورد عن أبي بكر أنه قال: " وددت أني شعرة في جنب عبد مؤمن"، " والله لوددت أني كنت هذه الشجرة تؤكل وتعضد" ، " ليتني خضرة تأكلني الدواب"، وكان يبكي كثيرا ويقول:" ابكوا، فإن لم تبكوا فتباكوا".
