I have been so busy, and not feeling myself lately, that reading has taken a back seat. However, I’m intrigued with Rowen’s persona - we will see if I will stay focused/engaged.

Loving the style of this book. Recipes throughout and ‘magical’ plot progression

Without the audiobook - I think my inability to pronounce (most) names, would have prompted me to DNF this. However, I’m hooked on the story - so I’m so happy I have the audiobook to enjoy proper pronunciation of names while I embrace the film-buff occultist read.

A little predictable. Wish the writing was better and there weren’t as many triggers (I’m thinking about classroom use!) but the story is interesting.

Oh merciful Jamie - all they had to do was imply they would starve/poison their husbands and you granted (not forgiveness but) progressive advancement.

Not what I was expecting, but I’m completely enthralled.
Sir Patrick Stewart will forever be my favourite Captain, as well as the best tragic Scottish King and inspiring telepathic professor one could ask for.
As I am listening (via audiobook - because really… his voice is perfect) I am empathically journeying with “Pat” through his career and hanging on for each new experience and lesson.

Love these characters.

As always - I adore this series.

Fantastic debut novel from Cree Canadian Jessica Johns. If this is the quality of her first novel - I can’t wait to read what’s let to come.

The tense yet encompassing family dynamics are gripping. The obstacles and importance of dreams and culture are eerily spellbinding, while following the journey to find oneself is tense yet captivating.

(Personally loves the Mortal Kombat game play as well!)

This book isn’t as well written as her other books - however the story is worth reading.

I loved the first of the series. I’m liking this one so far as well.

The story is rich and mysterious. (Im more focused now! Lol)

I’m struggling to get into this one. But with that being said, I have a lot going on. So I have to give this a real chance.

A lot of interesting themes to consider.
