I definitely contain multitudes. Spending 2 hours watching reels and then finally start reading this and being completely enveloped in the story.

I like to think about people reading this in the moors of England or down in London where the North is seen as the wilderness of the world.

I’m going to add to my CV my capacity for focus because all I want to do is keep reading this.

I don’t want to give anything away but there’s one part where someone is reciting a really well thought out statement and repeats the last line because of how proud they are and it feels like what writing an incensed email in today’s world!!!

1:16am. I’m almost crying. How can someone write so beautifully? Heartbreaking lines, full of love and sorrow. Makes the world feel very large and somehow small at the same time. It’s difficult to explain when you’re not Dickens.

Can wait for this book to take over my life 🥲

I should be reading my Book club book but after having spent the weekend near the Valley from Delibes’s childhood and seeking the quiet in the city one returns to comfort.

I don’t know how much I’ve read (keeping in analogue on the kindle😎) but this is a book I wish I’d read when I was in university. A time when Resistance was strongest, maybe I would’ve been more closed off to understanding it.

Tortilla Flat is one of my favourite books. Lovely having a cold that won’t go away and still being transported to Monterrey California.

While I retrieve me little kindle companion I’ll reread this gem 🦋🩵

I can’t really remember what page I’m on. Only that I regretted having to stop and getting up from the bed to go to work😐
