Erin Hedges is on page 750 of 759 of The Mirror & the Light (Thomas Cromwell, #3)
Someday I’ll look back on this as the strange time of my life where I only read about Thomas Cromwell for almost 2 months, but it will be with no regrets. My main takeaway is that when a powerful man has a malfunctioning penis, everyone will have to suffer because of it

Haven’t had any reading updates in weeks because I’m 1000 pages deep into my Murakami summer and loving every minute of it 💕

Ok now I’ve read all of Gillian Flynn’s books in about the span of a month, so now I am emotionally disturbed both by her content and the fact that there’s no more of it

Erin Hedges is on page 25 of 448 of Madame Bovary
Started the summer with a “Victorian woman experiences a sexual awakening” novel, so it only felt right to end on one as well. I’ve been putting this book off for a bit because, like most classics, I was a little intimidated by it, but so far the writing is very entertaining and accessible, so I’m actually quite excited to continue it!

I’m reading The Idiot (again) as I travel through Europe and work on my writing, and just as I landed in Budapest, so did Selin. I think the lines between reader and character have officially been blurred beyond repair…

Erin Hedges is on page 72 of 291 of Severance
So far, it has some unique elements that set it apart from other dystopian/apocalyptic novels that I’m really intrigued by. The tropes that are familiar remind me of Steven Kings The Stand, it’s like that mixed with My Year of Rest and Relaxation (this is high praise coming from me!)

It’s not Moshfegh if you don’t feel mildly nauseous while reading…it’s enthralling, RICH with symbolism, and Moshfeghs subtle, detached prose makes the grotesque feel commonplace, in the best possible way. I feel like a need to get a paperback so I don’t mark up my hardcover with all the annotations I want to make
