Not gonna lie, i think this book has finally gotten me out of my two-year long reading slump and I AM HERE FOR IT!

Okay, here me out, i am kinda really liking this book so far abshfowprbf

I’m really hoping the second book is better than the first, but i ain’t holding out for Cassie Clare!

Eevie is so cute i want to be her friend

I’m really enjoying it a lot!! Reminds me of how i got so addicted to Mexican gothic until i finished it at 4 in the morning. However, the romance part of it seems to be out of place. Idk, it just seems like the author is trying to really push for a love triangle and some sort of romance aspect in it. Then she’s back to “oh yeah the mystery!”. Anyways, still good so far!

I really am trying to love this book like so many others have, but it's just not happening lol. I still find Juliette annoying and whiney, waiting for Warner to be a better person, and Adam (legit forgot his name and had to look back to see what it was) is literally just there. The romance feels so forced I genuinely don't really believe it. Gonna keep pushing though! Room for improvement!

I kept seeing this book all over tiktok and what hooked me was the "strong" main character. All I am getting so far is a whiny chick with a "gift".

So far it’s really good!! Charis is such a strong and independent main character, but that also can be her flaws too. She’s wayy too hard on herself as well as those around her. She’s human, not a robotic heir

I'm still trying to figure out how Olive is still friends with Ahn at this point. She is such a terriblwt friend to her after she got with Jeremy. Like this whole thing with the conference really irked me so bad. She didn't even bother communicating with olive about arrangements and basically stays assuming shit. Ugh I'm over her and this book trying to make Ahn a good friend. Please get new friends olive good Jesus.

I'm somewhat through this book and I am not having good time like I thought I would. So far, Olive's overthinking and self doubt is really putting this book down than what it needs to be. Adam's only personality trait I was able to pick up on is him being an Edward cullin, minus the vampy soarkle. I could go off about Ahn cuz good gracious Olive really needs new friends..

I’m almost half way done with this book and my goodness i want to grab Nadia and shake the living hell out of her

Lowkey already had a feeling it was going to turn out this way, but was really hoping for Tella’s sake it wasn’t…oof my heart

D.N.Fed… genuinely was very excited to start this book and really get into it, but the excitement dwindled down to just cringe thinking about picking it up. It was so lovely at the beginning, the characters were devolving nightly, but i just lost interest in it a long time ago…maybe I’ll pick it back up again, but not right now… oh whale

I am GOBBLING this book up right now. I started it today with little hope on getting back into reading, but BOY WAS I SO WRONG! I think this book finally got me out of a bit of a reading slump. I am here for Mulan and Shang! Chi Fu can suck on toes

Miss Lucy Score we are going to fight! Just kidding, but holy shit what did you do to make this book so captivating? I legit was complaining about it the first three chapters, and now I’m almost done with it. I had to stop myself from finishing it off tonight (i have work in the AM). I still HIGHLY dislike Knox as a love interest, but great book so far!
