This writing is kind of rough but I am interested to know what is going to happen

Rory is too fucking hot already. And this book is genuinely funny

My opinions on this one are mixed so far. I don’t really feel like I believed their first interaction. Like I wish it was a little bit more tension and excitement, it felt a little dry to me. Since then I think the writing is good but could cut down on repeated lines of thinking here and there. I mean this book is like 700 pgs, we could be a little more brief at times

Honestly I got this book partly because I haven’t reach much or any romance with disability rep and I feel like the scene that just happened tried to maybe shy away from the fact he is paraplegic for the sake of to the scene in the book idk

I’m starting this one on audio since my Libby hold came through and I’m actually liking it. The personalities are definitely hardcore grumpy sunshine but I’ll bite

I’m in love with this book

I LOVE the atmosphere. Her car breaks down in a storm on the only way in to town. Her parents own the antique store that is filled to the brim with old things and they live out of it, cooking dinner and if the open sign is still on everyone is welcome to join. Her mom wears bangles and a duster with tassels on it. It’s feeling so quaint already

why am i so turned off by this book compared to the first?? like imogen baby everything is about you just relax. your lifelong caregiver just got tortured i assume and yet you hate the person that did that to her more than theodore or agatha? cmon honey

This is the MMC talking about his coworker who has a”whole J-Lo thing going on.” He thinks “mistakes were made, even recently, but what could he really say? She was a climber. If it came out, she’d scream #MeToo and sexual harassment for have relations with someone who was her superior at work.” Tf

“At least I did the right thing both times I got pregnant. My body, my choice. I really did try to break the cycle, and not popping out multiple children with no way to care for them was a start.” WHAT IS THIS CHARACTER

Again not even a page later: “I’ve been swiping twenties off the grocery cash almost since the beginning. This time around, I’m not going to hook up with the first loser I come across. Usually, I’ll find someone who sweet talks me right out of my pants, and I’ll believe that this time is different. It never is, though. My mother was a product of three straight generations of white trash, and it showed.”

One page later… “there was something left in my subconscious that always needed a secret hiding place full of energy bars. Just in case. I’m like a dog with a bone, hiding the damn things in clandestine corners in case I never eat again. My favorite is strawberry granola, or chocolate frosting if I’m feeling wicked.” … if you are feeling wicked??? Like a girl can’t have chocolate

This woman has been with MANY abusive partners and this is how the author chooses to write her inner monologue: “I strip the bed and lay out the sheet, then wrap myself in my new blanket and dream of my future. Of finally being loved.” She is saying this shit the day after she just escaped her current abused… excuse me. Either this is a twist and it is a past timeline or this crap somehow got published

I already hate this book. The FMC has absolutely 0 self respect, the writing is bad, and I had to double check that the author is a women because of how she is writing this FMC it is horrible

I have no idea what this book is about, I heard it is a good parallel to read with the new movie Obsession… which I also haven’t seen. 10 pgs in and I’m wondering if this is about daddy issues??.. idk
