This whole book was just: a half-alive Shen Qiao gets carried around by Yan Wushi while Yan Wushi speaks like an anime villain about the evil nature of humans. And then Yan Wushi fights Shen Qiao and beats him up a little more before yapping again about how people are born evil so there's no point in doing good. Not a bad start to the series but not a ton happened in this first book.

I don't know whether to love or hate this book! What an incredibly unlikable main character. He's annoying, pretentious and a dufus. But lowkey it's reallyyy funny to see him depressed lolll. Wayyy too much philosophy in this book (#im14andthisisdeep) and why was I in class the whole book?! Unfortunately he does get with the LI at the last sentence but it isn't as bad as expected. Should've ended at moon chapter.

*sigh* I honestly should have liked the couple but the author was chewing my food for me the whole time! “'Very many people… that I killed, that I watched die, I remember them all…' As it turned out, he remembered them all.” Whole book sounds like this so I simply didnt care at a certain point due to skimming repeats. I also just hate time travel and "everyone forgets everything bad that ever happened" books
