I loved reading this with my friend. Sometimes the thoughts were too lofty for me. Other times I could not believe how similar the thoughts of an ancient Roman emperor and a modern whatever I am could be. I loved the scientific reduction of things we sugarcoat to blunt processes that shock in their truth and honesty. I loved the the quote about running with the stars, too.

I loved this book.
