It’s going to be hard to rate this one because I like it but it also has some flaw so my opinion keeps fluctuating

I’m giving up! I HATE this character, some of her remarks are truly the most obnoxious bullshit I’ve ever read! Truly never thought there was a more annoying main character than in Throne of Glass but seems I was wrong or atleast Celaena/Aelin is not alone because Raeve too is one of the worst characters I’ve ever had the misfortune to read about!

I’m currently also reading When the Moon Hatched and 28min into this audiobook I’m a bit reminded of the glossary in the beginning and writing (tho less obnoxious) of When the Moon Hatched… which I really do not like.
But that is just the vibe I’m getting right now and I hope instead the story becomes more similar to Barbie and the Magic of Pegasus with the quest for a magical spectre!

Described as Tolkienesque and the cover is giving Barbie and the Magic of Pegasus… it better live up to that!

I really liked the first chapter, it was very informative and intriguing! I love the lore of the phoenixes even tho I still get the species confused🐦‍🔥
I’m 2h:10min in and I’m really liking it so far! 🎧

1/4 in and I hate the main character but I wanted to get into the plot more before deciding to DNF because it still feels like I know nothing of the story even tho I’m 4h:30min into the book! Too much nonsense for just this annoying character to blab around and those diary entries are boring me out.
Please give me atleast some semblance of plot and what this story is actually about!

I thought there was going to be a love-triangle which almost threw me off but there seems to be a clear endgame (atleast to me so far).

I’m loving the book so far and think it has 5⭐️ potential if the ending is good! I only have 2h left of the audiobook so I’m scared, I hope the ending surprises me in a good way and not the other way around!

I love her friends and the trials are really interesting so far! ❤️

First chapter was a bit slow but after that I’ve been hooked and listened to the audiobook during my travel in Panama!

The magic-system has potential but the overly pretentious writing and the extremely annoying main character Raeve is getting on my nerves 😒

The story is completely normal (I’m not very invested but it’s easy to read) and then she says or think the most weird thing and every time I’m so close to close the book and never pick it up because of the cringe writing, it’s not funny
