Childish. Where are all the questions? It is like first 100 pages were written by somebody much younger. It may be praised but it lacks the imagination and World Building of the Chronicles of Narnia, Game of Thrones or any comparative series.

As for Feyre - She may be feisty but still succumbs to the traditional gender roles?

Reads like mind-numbingly, jingoistic, Republican recruitment for the Armed Forces. Also reads like the MC feels apologetic for his gay existence. It is repeatedly mentioned how manly, straight-seeming the other MC is.

Put aside to finish in future. Lack of pictures is a definite negative when trying to bring much of the book alive in your mind. Also reserves comment or opinion on things, people, events you would like to know about since they are written about.
