Romi is exhausting and tedious. Her constant cursing and aggression feels too much. Like damn.

“Romi was a strong independent Black woman who didnt need no man” is an actual verbatim quote from this book. Like wtf. This pisses me off so bad.

There is always the most basic of ordinary bitches at the center of a harem. And there is always too much dialogue trying to convince me as a reader on why this bitch is supposed to be so great when I can clearly see that this is a basic bitch. Its so annoying.

Having a hard time finding any of these characters likeable honestly

Not even 5% in and Zak’s self-pity is already grating on my last nerve. Still hopeful though. Ugh

So I am about 10% into this book and I am disappointed.

So far I HATE Harlow as a love interest for Benito. I hate the brat trope. Why do authors have to make femmes bratty and immature? I hate it in MF romance and i hate it in MM romance. I mean really hate it.

And I especially hate it for Benito who has had to be the responsible one adult & keep his family together for so long. Ugh

Gabe is annoying tf out of me. He is written with all the self absorbed insecurity that authors usually reserve for female heroes. It is supposed to be enduring I guess but it is off putting and annoying. It’s a shame because the set up for this book is so intriguing.
