Me doy cuenta de que lo que me gustó de este libro en mi niñez fue la figura misteriosa de Lord Craven. Se parece al arquetipo de personaje que busco en la adultez—alguien atormentado por una tragedia del pasado.

読みやすいんだけど、この本は物語じゃなくて自己啓発書？？？

The 1st person protagonist sounds like a proudly self-entitled prick. But she's not the only one. Makes you wonder what was going through the author's mind when she made her whole cast so unbearable.

(Spoilers) Sounds sexist but I thought that because the author is male, this novel would not use babies and pregnancies as plot device.
There are +/- 3 pregnancies so far and it's getting old.A serial killer even tears up when he sees a fetus.
I'm aware this is a "me" problem and not the author's fault, but still, I want to find an author who doesn't include babies to elicit emotions. I miss Michael Crichton!!

(Spoilers) Hay una embarazada en esta historia y usualmente el plot armor de las embarazadas y los niños es básicamente un spoiler. Nunca mueren. Ojalá este libro rompa ese esquema y siga igual de bien hasta el final 🙏
Además de la trama, hay algo satírico en su comentario social. Está muy disfrutable.
