Most books about psychopaths are told from the POV of the psychopath as unreliable narrator or from the perspective of the detective trying to catch them, it's so interesting and unsettling to read about a mom who sees troubling behavior in her kid but isn't believed

This book is hilarious, I can definitely see a bunch of my Indian aunties discussing how to help me hide a body in exactly this way, very practical 😂

The premise sounds fun: a straight-laced PhD student goes to Vegas after her defense and drunkenly gets married to a woman she doesn't know. But the honest portrayal of burnout, depression, and feeling lost in your twenties has been so close to home it's made me cry multiple times already 😭

This book is making me so angry, Mrs. Elm is almost gleeful every time Nora realizes undoing one of her regrets would not have made her happier... the cruelty of the fact that every single one of these other options is also terrible?? "Don't regret the trauma that made you suicidal, it could have been worse!"

I'm baffled, this book seems incredibly toxic and somehow everyone loves it?

ah, that classic "is the female main character mentally unstable or is freaky stuff actually happening" trope...while I don't love it I do see where the trauma and paranoia are coming from, the painful reality of racism in America makes it believable

I've barely started this book and the connection I feel to it is surreal! There's even an old lady named Kritika, one day maybe I'll grow up to be her 😊

The real story is finally getting started! I didn't expect this book to make me burst out laughing considering how much it deals with colonialism, trauma, and power imbalances but here we are 😂
