okay so i’m bored. where’s the cannibalism??? people said to wait until halfway through….so im really hoping it’ll pick up soon 🫣

….not exactly what i was expecting, but i have hope

this concept is INSANE. the main character is on my nerves and i HATE HATE HATE DOUBLE HATE LOATHE ENTIRELY the husband. here’s to hoping she kills him and lets the baby eat him 👹

Bro I HATE this main character, she’s so annoying. What do you mean “maybe they’re right, maybe I made the whole thing up”? Girl talk about a gaslighter’s wet dream

ehhhh idk this is my least favorite lisa jewell book so far. it’s just hard to get into and follow. hoping the ending will change my mind!

…. where’s the plot?

….. is there a point anywhere? sally has done something so spectacular— making two unlikable, one-level characters circle around each other for 300 pages to make a BESTSELLER

girlllll this man is ON HIS KNEES FOR YOU

liking the concept so far…. but the idea of someone turning down the idea of an all expense paid relocation to scotland as well as a castle is a bit 👀
