okay maybe i like roark. BUT ONLY A LITTLE !!

im not gonna lie, Cameron’s speech to Roark where he inadvertently vented about what his own life had become made me tear up so bad. I identify so hard with his sentiment of prioritizing art so much that you lose yourself and you forget the other things happening around you.

Howard Roark is equal parts aggravating as he is attractive. Despite seeing a part of myself in him (artist who wants to put out work I want rather than conforming to what others around me want) I find his egoism and lack of want to learn and take inspiration from others nauseating.

Ayn Rand so far has done a good job of making me feel something for her character, even if its contempt.
