So glad I’m starting the year with this book. This will likely be a 5-star read. Wow.

A goal for 2026 is to try and get through my physical TBR, which includes a lot more non-fiction titles. This has been on my shelf for a long time, and I wish I’d gotten to it sooner.

This took a while to get off the ground… And now that I’m finally into it, it’s been returned on Libby 🙃 Will I ever finish this…

Reviews seemed promising but I’m already not enjoying these “quirky-girl” monologues…

The writing is awful. Was this edited at all!? I’m not sure why I’m still reading this series because I felt this way about every single book but have somehow made it to this one. (And now it feels too late to back out…)

Wanted a quick, light, escapist read what with the shitstorm that is the world, work, life and I don’t think this is happening…

Also is there anyone out there who is actually ok with the “ex of a good friend” trope?

Doing a buddy read with my husband for 2025. Realised we needed a couple activity we could do after the bub goes to bed that doesn’t require us to leave the house, doesn’t need energy, and doesn’t need us to move or talk.

How could I have forgotten how great this series is?

Really really really trying to not DNF this one but man this is a trudge. The constantly changing narrator is really jarring and rears its head every time I’m just about to get into it. At what point does one just pull the plug?

Clearly I have a problem where I’m reading 8 books at once but this one is really struggling to hold my attention. Some parts are really good, then they are not. The frequent change in perspective from first person to third person to the sporadic detached art analysis is jarring and keeps me from getting into this book. I really want to like this book but alas…
