A favorite from Chapter 14 on the topic of optimizing and running towards a goal: “If you aren’t tending to your own needs, you can’t help those around you…you can’t pour endlessly from your own pitcher without ever stopping to refill it.” Taking the time to refresh after pouring out energy is essential. Don’t let people be spread too thin; slow down to speed up.
