I see what people are talking about with the back and forth of perspectives. It's especially confusing on audiobook but I think I have a good idea of what's happening.

I started this book a while ago but got slightly sidetracked, so I restarted it the other day to get all the details I need.

The way women in animation during this time is truly depressing. Not being seen as an equal to a male animator is demeaning on its own, but some time the male animators would target the women for being "less creative unable to accept criticism."
