I think I’m a little done with Percy showing up and there being some massive thing that happened while he was away — yet no one decided to let home know while it was happening, nor do the even tell him when he returns to camp. Yes it’s a cliche young adult book method for creating mystery and suspense, but Percy is better than this and the rest of the team should be better than this.

It is so, so, so good. Excellent writing, several laugh out loud moments, so many amazing video game and RPG references. It’s fantastic.

I’m liking the mystery and intrigue, still a little childish narration, but I don’t mind too much.

Still good! I got used to the narration style, and I like it now!

Having seen the old movie and the first season of the new TV show, I feel like I know the story pretty well. Coming off reading (listening) to the Harry Potter series, I am finding tons of similarities even down to the verbiage used — though for Percy Jackson the narrator is Percy himself. Things were feeling a little childish in terms of the narration style, but it’s growing on me.

Ron’s a little shit who doesn’t deserve forgiveness for his treachery.
