Found an advance reading copy of this abandoned on the tram back from the Gnomes gig at Brunswick Ballroom. Pretty good, don’t mind some Aus gothic when I’m in the mood for it

Initially, the authors voice shone through very clearly. It was apparent that she personally loved Oxford, but oppositely wanted to paint it as the intellectual flagship guiding British imperialism. This seems to have integrated more congruently as Robin grows into his life at Oxford.

I thought this was going like ‘iRobot’ the film… but I think I’m thinking of Blade Runner
