A very simplistic book. Very easy to grasp story, and plot moves along quickly.

Very informative book. Davis’ words sheds a light how black women were important to key movements, including education

Really love how Davis’ managed to break down her essays so they’re palpable to read, but also knows when some things must be told with no sugarcoating

I’m actually enjoying this book. Despite being text heavy, you do get the sense the narrator wants to have his cake and eat it too.

I especially love how charming he can come across. He’s very much convincing, even in the worst of circumstances

It’s getting easier to understand, and its writing style is like poetry almost

This book is very dense, and weirdly informative.

You can really feel the lack of concern the narrator feels for being captured, only recalling upon regrets during his mission.

Still enjoying Kitty’s story, though it has slow down a bit.

Kind of don’t like that Elise’s story hasn’t been explored, despite how much involvement she had in the beginning, but I’m not complaining.

Right now, this book’s a 3-3.5 stars
