possibly past the climax now!

Very glad there’s so many snippets on how the two of them are communicating

“As hundreds of astronauts have done before, I place my faith and my life in the hands of the engineers who designed the system.”

“I have to assume friendly intent at this point. I mean, they’re going out of their way to say hi and be accommodating. Besides, if there is hostile intent, what would I do about it? Die. That’s what I’d do. I’m a scientist, not Buck Rogers.” grace you are incredibly funny don’t die

grace is a surprisingly well-adjusted individual for the genre (though unsurprising considering it would’ve been foolish to select someone less emotionally stable)

yay science! good pacing + humorous internal narration making the first person tolerable

I love when books recommend more books to read <3

many quotable sections...

liking it!! sorta my return to YA after shifting gears towards classics & nonfiction; so far my thoughts culminate in "i hope this ends with poly"

interesting tone and vibes
