This is excellent... the subtleties and choices being made in the text, and what Kehlmann is saying--fantastic.

This returned back to the library as my borrow was up, but I probably need this break. It's so bleak and intense. Well done, and will just be waiting for my hold to come through again.

The book is bringing me along, and I've chuckled a few times... the protagonist is hard to root for, but I'm hoping an epiphany in store through Bob.

Library hold came in for this and while I've heard some good stuff, boy, this writing is... something. It's moving fast enough I guess and I need a mind-numbing fast read right now so I'll continue.

Have been skipping around these essays for book club and I just don't think at this time of year where I am brain-fried was the best time for me to read this; it's somewhat dense and academic and while I love parts of it, I'm not fully functioning and processing, woops!

Don't know where this is going but I love it so far

I don't deny her writing prowess, but her narration skills really lack... not sure I'm going to be able to finish this in audio form.

Castillo is such a tremendous writer; witty and hilarious and deadpan but so feeling. How does she do it?!

her purpose is to find a husband for forever, she declares? please. if I was single and then had to figure out my relationship/history with a stranger, this would be straight hell. and I wouldn't be slow to figure this out, if she ever does.
