Honestly, I respect that Connell focuses on Helen and tries to maintain boundaries. This is just an awkward situation to be around.

It's honestly sad that he still needs Marianne in his life. He cannot be truly in love with another when he always goes back to her and their 'relationship'.

I think Connell grew for the better with the 'break up'. As he was the problem, he faced consequences that allowed him to reflect more. I'm curious to see how this dynamic shifts. For Marianne, she learned to have her pride if only slightly.

As someone who listens to audiobooks or reads along with the audiobook, reading the novel adds depth that the audiobook alone does not have.

I love Marianne getting friends!

I highkey hate everyone besides Felix. Felix is just a socially off nerd while everyone else are annoying. Dan is pretentious, Jordan is mean, and Abby is self-centred.

I don’t know why but I don’t like the main character. I know he’s supposed to feel out of touch. However, he sounds arrogant and weirdly controlling and undermines many people around him.

This book would be great for those who see images in their head.
