She meets a princess who is more than meets the eye

Here's what I know so far. Celaena is a prisoner a former Assassin betrayed by someone. She gets picked as a champion by the king to compete in a series of challenges eliminating her opponents and ultimately winning freedom. She is trained by choal the kings guard and meets Dorian the prince. Her greatest rival is Cain she saved Nox from a dying in a challenge and other contestants are being murdered around her

I definitely appreciate this story more so the second time around. feyre is at the spring court hiding from them all that she is Rhys mate making out he held her there against her will. Things are frosty between her and tamlin so much so he gets jealous when he sees her with Lucien embracing. They go on a mission to check out the wall and Feyre finds a hole in it where three human children have got through.

So bloody good!!

Annoying main character kira annoying guy and his nickname for her peaches! I liked that she was a bit messed up not your typical sunshine female character

Acts of service a running theme in this book

There is a lot of cute dialogue in this book and it touches upon childhood trauma on both Daphne and Miles’ side. He’s always had to be ok and never really been able to express his emotions and she never likes being alone so comprised her emotions to fit in with her partners. It resonates with me and is relevant to a current situation so this book has turned into a cathartic read and gone from 2-3 ⭐️ to a 5

Miles is sweet. The chemistry is getting better

129 pages in and I’m not feeling the spark between these two

Accidental pregnancy

Single dad and nanny trope

4 sisters 1 died. each with their own problems. Good conversations and dialogue but overall pretty bland so far I’m waiting for something interesting to happen

I’m slightly addicted
