idk why i thought her name was naomi in the last update. there’s not a single character in this book named naomi. it’s mattie lol. anyway i’m over 50% done but it doesn’t feel like much progress has been made

austin and naomi (that is her name right?) are cute

ok so 35% done yet she still hasn’t gotten to the different realities part

cover is super cute. discovered this book through the kindle ads. the plot sounds like the midnight linsey mixed with the magic of lemon drop pie

ok still not really a thriller. everyone’s just weird and crazy

the characters seem too comical. like veronica is the textbook “other woman” with no other characteristics and jeremy is just weird

ok idk what the twist/thrilling part will be but i’m engaged with the story already as i always am with freida books

ok almost 20% in and nothings happened. not feeling immersed in the story at all but idk i wanna know what happened to the girls

kind of struggling to visualize what her paintings look like - are the girls hidden or visible?

ok additional update since quinn said that sam being in indiana doesn’t mean she killed lisa. so i went back to the page about the letter and turns out it was quincy illinois not indiana lol. but the states are right next to each other. but then again the letter was 2 years ago so

ok so they want us to think sam is the killer but they wouldn’t be referencing quinn’s blackouts so much if it wasn’t significant. unless it’s a red herring. idk but i’m intrigued

ok so now we see that quinn capable of violence. hmm. also did sam mail that letter to her from quinn indiana? maybe she’s here to kill her? idk

ok midway prediction, quinn killed lisa: we already know she has black outs (and i forgot how i initially suspected her as the killer in pine cottage) and so what if she got the email from lisa and went over to her house? idk what her motive would be for killing her, i guess it’s like a norman bates situation where she just goes crazy. but yeah that’s my prediction

too predictable that sam killed lisa so it must’ve been someone else. unless it was sam. also i didn’t visualize coop as attractive i visualized him as a fat cop

it’ll be disappointing if craig is the killer, or if joe is. it’ll be cheap if it’s rodney since he’s not a major character. i wonder what sam is hiding

ok so i assume the guy peeking into the cabin isn’t actually the killer/escapee from the mental hospital they just mentioned 2 pages earlier bc that would be too easy. craig also seems like too easy of a suspect

had a 3 hour sit in atl yet only got 5% more. but i’m still engaged and invested in the story

wow i’ve wanted to read this since december 2022! only started it today and i’m already invested and feel connected to the story and read a decent amount for one day considering it’s been so hard for me to get into reading. her blackouts make it sound like she’s the one who did the killings and can’t remember it but that’d be too obvious

hoping this is the book that gets me out of my reading slump. already getting tired of agnes calling wilbur “old bean”. also was the piano teacher a nora cameo from midnight library? cool

started “say you’ll remember me” got up to page 20. dnf. i’ve tried reading two stephen king books (the body and misery) and dnf’ed both within the first few pages. hoping this is different

hey… first update in like 2 months. didn’t read at all while in atlanta but i’m hoping to get back into the groove. not much to add lol

i like how this takes place in nyc/seeing all the nyc landmark and geographic references (very fitting since i got my base award yesterday and i’m staying in new york. gonna start romanticizing it more)

started the lovely bones the other day, got 7% but decided to dnf and based on the reviews i probably wouldn’t have enjoyed it. this seems like a manic pixie dream girl but gender swapped. i already feel engaged to the characters/story. it’s 100% gonna be a predictable friends to lovers story but i’m still interested to see it unfold
