i like how this takes place in nyc/seeing all the nyc landmark and geographic references (very fitting since i got my base award yesterday and i’m staying in new york. gonna start romanticizing it more)

started the lovely bones the other day, got 7% but decided to dnf and based on the reviews i probably wouldn’t have enjoyed it. this seems like a manic pixie dream girl but gender swapped. i already feel engaged to the characters/story. it’s 100% gonna be a predictable friends to lovers story but i’m still interested to see it unfold

ooh ok plot twist with vince being dead. sad. still say steadman did it

there’s too many characters. who is joe arpeggio. still convinced its steadman. and that nirvana isn’t vince i guess. because that’ll be too easy. i’m interested to see who the killer is/how this ends but it’s dragging on a bit

over halfway done with it and it seems like nothings happened so far

perhaps mr steadman did it. he’s the only one who’s connected to both. they brought him up as a possibility and said they need to look at all angles but they never really looked at him

still no suspects other than chris i guess

having to put a disclaimer that this is fiction and not entirely based on her life lol but it’s so clear the inspiration is her life so i’m just gonna picture her as the mc

ok it’s giving 3 stars bc rn she’s just an unhinged lady seeking revenge on people who wrong her. where’s harley? but there’s no suspense so even if there is a twist, it’s taking too long

got like 40% with “me before you” but i’m deciding to dnf. i think i already know how it ends (will goes through with dignitas) and that’ll just make me sad. perhaps i’ll watch the movie. freida always gets me out of a reading slump though

ok so they’re both single parents who are on the verge of divorce. so will their kids be siblings? half siblings i guess

yeah sean has to go. laughing at tom losing his job is so wrong

neither of them are happy with their partners. but i don’t like abbie much. tom was right to be mad at her ignoring him and then showing up at his house at 1am “on her terms” plus she got way too mad at him stopping before they slept together. like natasha said, people are allowed to withdraw/change their minds at any time. she took the “rejection” poorly and felt like she was entitled to him

sean is questionable. i’m sensing anger issues (pointing the knife at her demanding full details of what she and tom did). also samantha isn’t too fun either

received the best news of my life today (cjo) and can’t focus on anything else. ooh plot twist with samantha and the baby. mom finished this book today and gave it 5 stars yay

hm. wonder what the text was. maybe from samantha?

i’m interested in the characters already but i’m hoping it’s more than just a romance where they fall in love bc of shared trauma

just got home from london (and finland) and i miss it already so what better way to cure it then by reading british fiction! thinking of reading me before you next
