This book never fails...to put me in a reading slump. This is my second or third attempt at reading it.

Haunting of Hill House in written form

This is fucked up but I can't stop reading it.

I love how there's so much food and violin references in this book. Each dish being introduced historically with a background story is cute.

Shizuka Satomi is the most attractive MC I've encountered. To not settle for less than what feels right and not compromise who she is despite her soul and music being on the line 🥵

Got heavily bored at the 25% mark...debated dnf-ing and ultimately deciding to push through via audiobook.

It's really slow sometimes and I really can't care less about the whiny MC Addie who makes a bargain with the devil bec she doesn't want to get married. Girl, do something about it. Be your own heroine.

Putting a pause on Chapter 35, because I feel like shit's about to go down and got minorly spoiled on tiktok.

This is the most troubling book I've read this year. The writing is tiresome but I want to know what happens next

As with every new SJM book, I'll be spending the first few chapters wholly confused about the world and the numerous characters being introduced.

Still not completely sold on the story of a man looking for his wife who he lost on the first day of their vacation. The tower levels aren't intriguing so far.
