Last week, I thought it was interesting how Len's dad handled her isolating herself more than usual. Later in the book, her father's words pop into her mind, specifically when he says, "Get a grip, Len!" (Carpenter 279). This has been haunting Len and it wasn't helpful for her at all.

I think that Len is going to need serious help because of her OCD. When Len finally told Sage about what happened to Nadia, Len explains how she thinks that she "killed her" (Carpenter 222). This is something that Len clearly can not control and I think it will be very hard for her to ask for help.

I am frustrated with Kayla, Sages best friend because she is rude and aggressive. When Sage was feeling down she would ask her aggressively what was wrong, which made Sage feel like she needed to lie. I think Sage should not be friends with Kayla.

I wonder what Len has experienced to make her feel like she is dying. After she tries talking on the phone to Fauna, she saw "blue everywhere, bleeding across her memories and blurry vision. Sirens" (Carpenter 113). This sounds like some trauma that she has experienced and can't let go of.

I am very interested in why Len threw her pens away. After she threw them away, she said she hated doing it but "at least she was now safe" (Carpenter). I wonder why she didn't think she was safe until she threw out the pens. Is she a germaphobe?
