DNF @ 8%. I’ve tried reading this book several times this past year and the writing just makes me cringe every time

Intrigued

Onto book 2/6. I’m pretty sure I only got this far in the series when I was a kid because the copy I got was when I was on vacation in the Philippines and I never saw it again but I definitely never forgot about this series

Don’t know if I find Tally’s stubbornness endearing or annoying just yet

SO EXCITED TO REREAD THIS. The nostalgia runs deep with this one. Always had a thing for ghost stories. I never got to read the whole series but I bought it all when I blacked out last week on world of books.

Rereading my absolute favorite book as a kid 🥹

I bought this book not knowing it was horror; the cover just intrigued me. Now knowing it’s a gothic horror novel set in Hawai’i, I’m nervous but ready to be frightened.

It was a slow start and took around 80 pages for it to get more interesting but I’m optimistic it will get better

It’s like a train wreck. I can’t look away.

I’m determined to finish this bc I went to 2 different towns for the physical copy but the characters are so juvenile (are they really 18? Or am I just old bc I don’t recall talking like they did at that age) and *spoiler* it aggravates me the way she keeps calling her pregnancy/unborn baby “you-know-what/you-know-who.” Just call it what it is omg. I still have hope it’ll get better though.

It usually doesn’t take me this long to finish a book but Petra irks me and I continuously need breaks.

I’m in a constant state of nostalgia and I yearn to read all the books from my childhood.
