I find the characters to be shallow, frustrating and unrelatable. I just don't find anything appealing about equating love with obsession and destruction. all of the characters are incredibly selfish. I don't like reading a book where I can't identify with or even like the characters. I'm even more woefully disappointed after reading The Dovekeepers, which was fabulous.
