Just a thought... if you're wanting to not have your location anywhere for your protection, why do you have a phone? Why do you have a netflix account? In order to pay for both you need to have a bank account which has your address? You'd need to be completely off the grid in order to realistically not be traceable?

Decided to go through my childhood shelves and re read this one again. Will it unlock my twilight phase again? Who knows!

Read so far the first two stories and story 1 was 3/5 and story 2 was 4.5/5.
I think the first story was a lot of build up because A we were providing the context of this other world where the messenger cats work, B we were providing the context of the story itself. I feel like out of the 60 odd pages on 25 to 30 were dedicated to the 1st story. I kind of wish there was more because it had potential!
Loved 2nd one!

Definitely enjoying and potentially appreciating this more the second time reading...the rest of the series is on KU so I'll definitely be continuing it!

I fear that the summer journal sections are not having their intended purpose for me 😔

I'm not as invested in this one as The Guest List. I'm not as connected to the characters and the plot itself isn't gripping me. It's currently sitting at a 2.5 or 3 star.

Unsure what to think...

The son was a heartwarming story of a child coming to terms with his parents divorce. It was interesting to see his perspective of what was happening and going through his mind. Great to be back in the café again I love this series!

Wanted to try another backman and so far I'm intrigued

An interesting concept so far, currently feeling like 3.5 or 4 star read.

I wish we explored the characters a bit more before going to Hell, but I'm glad that we are getting tidbits throughout.

I'm a little bored...not feeling connected to the characters at the moment 😅.
It is feeling a little on the slow side and I can't really tell where the story is meant to be going.

I have a great feeling about this book, this could be a 5 star read

I couldn't wait a year for the paperback...so audiobook it is. 2 books in 1 year from Samantha Shannon I feel blessed 😍
