Fascinating and satisfying. Much like “Overstory,” this novel approaches time from nature’s point of view. The lives of trees and other flora and fauna are the main characters, with humans and human time merely accidental players coming and going, loving, dying, losing their grip both literally and figuratively. It’s an excellent read, with a yellow house built in colonial times as the through line over 400 years.
