People were fundamentally predictable. If you stopped expecting them to surprise you, they couldn’t disappoint.

First time to find a book with no summary here in Goodreads but so far so good.

So far, so good. Still amused by the characters and the plot.

Have to read something light in order to move on.

It hurt her to say these things, just as it hurt me to hear them, but I understood why she was doing it. She was, in her way, trying to save me.
