i think im just gonna dnf this, which i hate doing but it feels like a chore reading. my favorite short story was the one i just finished reading, but i had no desire to read it anymore

so far I'm iffy on this book, but I just read the grossest thing ever??? this woman likes her pasta salad WARM??? horrified

first time since reading "open wide" where a character has put me on edge with their actions. margo is insane and I absolutely love it

i am really enjoying the book, I find it really interesting (especially wondering if what I'm being told is the truth), but the one thing that drives me crazy is her consistent revelation that she... doesn't care. every time i think we've established it, she has another revelation... that she doesn't care. thank you patric, very cool!

i do not know how to feel / think about this book at all, but it is pissing me off that the main character in each story never speaks with quotations. other characters do, unless you're the Main Character™

when I was finished with strange houses and looking through the reviews, I saw a lot of people compare (and prefer) strange pictures to strange houses. so far, I'm not understanding that opinion, I way prefer strange houses (but of course, I'm not that far in; my opinion may change)

after reading 3 books back to back i didn't enjoy, im so happy to be reading something that is thrilling!! i have to eat dinner and I don't want to stop reading this book. I'm reading this on my kindle w kindle unlimited, and this might have to be something I buy a physical copy of.

the way some of this is written, some parts i do not understand what the author is trying to say. I'm not having the best impressions so far which sucks because I was super excited about the concept

im not sure what this book is trying to say so far. seeing this book rated pretty highly is absurd to me. Nina is so unlikeable, and this book talks about feminism so much, yet does nothing with it.
also, the "deeply funny" praise feels like a lie. it's just falling so flat for me

i rarely DNF books but I'm thinking about it for this one. we'll see. I had heard so many good things about this book, but the writing is not working for me. feels very clunky, and more telling than showing. I've made it past the first story, I'm into the second, and I don't feel much attachment to these characters

this book so far has some intriguing parts but for the most part, I feel so bored 😭 I want to complete it since I still have some intrigue, but good lord is it difficult
