Ugh! This is such a disappointing read so far! We're spending WAY too much time living in the trauma so many characters! And now exploring gender dyphoria among soldiers?!? They are in the middle of a war and that's what our characters are busy navigating? Someone tell me the ending is worth it!

This does not feel like a Brandon Sanderson novel we all know and love

I really do love her writing! She does suggest avoiding reading a couple chapters of you want to avoid the spice levels. I absolutely LOVE this family as all the stories told over the course of the series. I think her characters have deep emotional depth, and the romance is really a side character to what develops in her novels! I can’t wait to read the last novel in January, 2026!!
