Julia Hlaing is 10% done with Beauty Is a Wound
this book is filled with instances of rape and beastiality against women. terribly dehumanizing n really difficult to get past. not at all surprised a man has written it. i understand the nuances of sex work and womenhood in SEA during colonization but this honestly read like someone’s awful fetish compilation with how needless and grotesque it was, even only at 10%. DNF, won’t be picking up again
