I’m down with only two chapters but want to give it a 2 star. The series could be settled into a single book if they stop making all these plans for their next meal and focus on pressing matters at the hand. Everyone praising Sonya for her strengths and having repeated conversations has definitely took a good chunk of the series. Let’s see what rest of the book holds, given it’s the last one of the series.

This gives me similar vibes as Inheritance by Nora Roberts but more spooky and dark. More stories to unfold let’s see what rest of the book have.

Update at 34% — so far I have read 5 times that one of the character “put their hands up in the surrender pose”
