I’ve been in my biggest slump of my life this year and I keep reading books that have so much promise in their summaries and then really let me down.

I hate this woman’s husband so much in both modern and past timelines. Also? I’m confused to why her (fake) daughter Mary is talking to her so openly disobedient. If we’re going off of a true pioneer era childhood, there’s no way a pre-teen “woman” talks to her mother that way. Also, this is such interesting commentary on the modern trad-wife family influencer. Even down to the children’s names.
