The first book I’ve ever listened to as an audiobook. I genuinely could not force myself to read it. I know so many people love this book but it is clearly just not my book. I’m just trying to get through it at this point

I am flying through this book (if you've read it and seen the set-up, you know how easy this is) and I'm loving it. It made me cry already last night and based on reviews, I imagine I'll cry again before I'm done

If nothing else can get me out of a reading slump, I can always turn to Ava Reid

this is my first "classic" read and I was skeptical going into it because I don't feel pulled to read these. but I'm reading it as a book swap with a friend and I'm pleasantly surprised so far

this is the first YA book I’ve read as an adult and it feels good, like nostalgic. especially because horror/thriller was my favorite as a teenager

this is so eerie and sensual in a way that’s hard to describe. intimacy in the form of the universe opening for a human to taste

so I’m not LOVING this so far but damn does it have some good one-liners. ex: “I’ve gone hungry too many times not to recognize a starving man when he kneels in the dirt before me” like HUH

so far it just feels like a retelling of the movie monster house. y’all remember that movie?

i am FLYING through this book (flying in my standards means i’m probably gonna finish it within the same week i started it)

first 3 pages and i already know im going to love this
