I imagined the character looking proudly at his corn field which had crops growing well. The book says, "so in a little time the enemies forsook the place, and the corn grew very strong and well, and began to ripen apace.

This book is about the journey of Robinson Crusoe as he sets sail to explore London. However, he is stuck on an island due to a sea storm and must find ways to survive until someone comes for rescue.

The current conflict is man vs nature; the character is on an island that is isolated and there is no way for him to get back home. Crusoe says, "I had been now in this unhappy island above ten months; all possibility of deliverance from this condition seemed to be entirely taken from me; and I firmly believed that no human shape had ever set foot upon that place" (Defoe).

It was raining all day on the land where Crusoe was staying and he got a fever, which prevented him from doing any activities. "Rained all day, and I stayed within. No rest all night; violent pains In my head, and feverish" (Defoe)).

Conflict: man vs nature. There was a deadly hurricane and rain was pouring, so the character was scared that his tent might break apart. "I went in and sat down in my tent; but the rain was so violent that my tent was ready to be beaten down with it.

The character is going through a man versus nature conflict. He is stuck in an island because there was a storm and his ship wrecked. "I, poor, miserable Robinson Crusoe, being shipwrecked, during a dreadful storm in the offing, came on shore on this dismal unfortunate island, which I called "the Island of Despair" (Defoe 68).

I visualized the character carrying food, clothes, and other supplies back and forth from his raft to the inside of the tent that he built. "Into this tent, I brought all my provisions and everything that would spoil by the wet" (Defoe 58).

This book would be fun to read because it talks about going back in time and also it involves romance.

This book focuses on relationships between friends and families.

I like this book because reading about the love interest between the main character, Fi, and her friend Jazz is fun. "We shared a look that instantly went from neutral to It's-imperative-that-we-kiss" (Lariviere 231).

My favorite character in this book is Jazz, he seems like a very nice friend who will help people when they are having a difficult time. Page. 220

Jazz looked at Fi and the color of his eyes looked like grape lollipops. They did not say anything as they kept looking at each other. Fi then asked if Jazz would like to sit with him, remembering that she had a ticket for a ride in a time machine. (Lariviere 179)
