Barely starting this and this run feels COMPLETELY different than the first omnibus. You can not convince me that this is the same run as The Book of Ezekiel arc and everything prior.

All I gotta say is that the physical "omnibus" (it's a compendium) freaking sucks. My first ever read through of this and the glue and overall binding is the worst thing in my entire collection. So far so good, storywise. Be aware if you like to physically read things in omni or compendium format...buy this one for cheap. This collected edition is actually scary to hold.

Okay nowwwww I see the purpose of this run. It's not about having fun with Venom, tho you can take it that way. It's about the bond of a father and his son. Can't lie, I got a little emotional after the end of Absolute Carnage. Despite some flaws, I see the heart in this all and I'm enjoying it a little more than I was before.

Fun so far. Nice to learn about Eddie's past and how it shaped him. Wouldn't exactly call this a slow burn, but things get better as more issues are read. Looking forward to more, but do hope some changes happen.

War of the Green Lanterns definitely felt rushed in terms of build up AND execution and so far is the weakest big event in all 3 omnis. That being said Sinestro is now in my top 3 villains ever, if not number 1. His storyline after the event is so good. Every time Sinestro is on page, I wait for him to steal the show. Whether that means with a snarky remark, being egotistical, or just flat out being badass haha

Low-key invested in The Red and Yellow Lanterns more over Hal. Glad he got a taste of his own medicine with Carol, kinda deserved after all this time ngl
